Join the Notre Dame Linked Experimental Ecosystem Facility (ND-LEEF) for some spooky fun at the 10th Annual Science Sunday inside the Red Barn at St. Patrick’s County Park!
On Sunday, October 29 from 1-4 p.m., adults and children are invited to learn about ND-LEEF and a variety of environmental research happening at the University of Notre Dame. Faculty and graduate students will lead demonstrations and hands-on activities appealing to all ages, including:

Measuring Stream Flow: Boat races

Collection & Identification: Aquatic insects & zooplankton

Underground Lakes: Understanding groundwater resources

DIY Water Filter: How to filter water with household items
- ND Museum of Biodiversity: Skull, skeletons and creepy crawlies

Prairie Tours: Learn about native flora

Data Shape Collective: Exploring scientific knowledge through art

Be an Ecological Detective: Environmental DNA
- Free Soil Lead Testing: Bring soil samples from your garden, where children play, and/or the drip line from your roof
The event will also include the opportunity to make dragon bubbles and create a special magic potion that will change colors right in front of your eyes!
Science Sunday is free and open to the public. Halloween costumes are welcome!
