Four Additional Internal Grants Now Open for Applications

Faculty can now submit their applications for the Equipment Restoration and Renewal Program, the Kobayashi Travel Fund, the Library Acquisitions Grant, and the Notre Dame-Eli Lilly and Co. Faculty Fellowship Program in Drug Discovery. The deadline for each internal grant program is Friday, January 27, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. EST. Details about the open programs are below.

Equipment Restoration and Renewal Program

The Equipment Restoration and Renewal Program assists in the restoration, replacement, and renewal of the facilities needed for faculty research, scholarship, and creative endeavor. Grants will typically be in the range of $25,000 to $200,000.

Kobayashi Travel Fund

The Francis M. Kobayashi Travel Fund provides funding to initiate new research by subsidizing travel expenses incurred in the acquisition, analysis and development of data, and/or the consulting of primary materials, collections, or other research resources at off-campus sites. Grants up to $1,500 are available through this program.

Library Acquisitions Grant Program

The Library Acquisitions Grant Program funds library acquisitions (print, digital, electronic, or other formats) in support of research, scholarship, and creative endeavor. It is not meant to replace the normal means of enhancing the library’s collections, but to provide a means of responding to unique opportunities or challenges. It is expected that requests will normally be in the range between $25,000 and $150,000.

Notre Dame-Eli Lilly and Co. Faculty Fellowship Program in Drug Discovery

The Notre Dame-Eli Lilly and Co. Faculty Fellowship Program in Drug Discovery provides a stipend for a Notre Dame faculty member to be a visiting scholar and experience, firsthand, the drug discovery and development process at Eli Lilly and Co. The fellow will shadow a team of Lilly scientists and project managers within the chemistry program in Indianapolis, Indiana for a period of at least two to three months.
