GIS Day at Notre Dame

-

Location: Hesburgh Library

The Navari Family Center for Digital Scholarship, the Center for Research Computing, and the Center for Social Research invite all to attend the 2018 GIS Day at Notre Dame.

GIS (Geographic Information Systems) hardware and software systems are used for storage, retrieval, mapping, and analysis of geographic data. With the help of specialists at the Center for Digital Scholarship and the Center for Research Computing, GIS has become critical to research across diverse disciplines at Notre Dame.

GIS Day is an annual celebration of geospatial technology and its power to transform and better our lives. It’s an opportunity to discover and understand the benefits of GIS and showcase its uses in our community.

The symposium combines workshops, presentations, demonstrations, and more to show the exponential impact of geospatial technologies. Learn from a diverse forum of faculty and students about how GIS contributes to real-world research and community-based projects that make a difference here in South Bend and around the world.

Visit the GIS Day at Notre Dame website for more information. Please note: The website will be updated once the lightning talk presenters have been chosen.
