I am interested in ecophysiological responses of plants to changes in physical environment. My research focuses on mechanisms of water and carbon dynamics in forest ecosystems under varying environmental factors, and ecosystem level modeling of impacts of climate change on tree growth, productivity and community structure. My research involves both field-based data collection and model simulation in terrestrial ecosystems.
I received my Ph.D. from Duke University. In the ND-ECI, I will be working on remote effects of urban areas on forest productivity and ecosystem services under the mentorship of Dr. David Medvigy.
